Hyderabad, 11th August 2025 – The National Institute of Tourism & Hospitality Management (NITHM) inaugurated the 16th Batch of BBA (Tourism & Hospitality) 2025–2029 and the 22nd Batch of MBA (Tourism & Hospitality) 2025–2027 today. The programme began with the ceremonial lamp lighting and prayer song, followed by a welcome address by Principal Dr. M.K. Ganesh
The inaugural address was delivered by Prof. V. Venkata Ramana, Director, NITHM, who shared insights on the importance of tourism and hospitality education, the institute’s role in shaping future professionals, and the opportunities awaiting the students in the global industry. The Director told students to have a sense of values and work hard to make their parents proud. He also stressed that sky would be the limit for those who are passionate about what they do. He also reiterated that together we can make the institution more vibrant than ever before. The event marked the beginning of the academic journey for the new batches, inspiring them to embark on a path of learning, professionalism, and excellence in the field of tourism and hospitality.
Taj Deccan GM, Mr. Arnab Gupta was the industry expert on the topic “Overview of the Hospitality Industry.” Mr. Gupta has invited as an industry expert for MBA, BBA Student Orientation program and has shared his career travel with Taj Deccan. That made the student so inspired and motivated in their program. He explained to the students about the employment prospects in the hospitality industry. And he provided the roadmap and direction how to elevate oneself in the industry with self-motivation and discipline. He blessed all the students in their future endeavors in the travel & hospitality industry. Later, student and faculty introductions happened.
The second speaker for the forenoon session was Mr. Siraj Ansari from CEO Avion Holidays. He has interacted with new batch of MBA and BBA students in the first day of the induction program. Mr. Siraj Ansari has spoken on the topic “Overview and Prospects of Tourism Industry.” He also expressed that the Tourism Industry will give guarantee jobs for tourism students because this industry need more people than any other industry. Later he explored the innate potential and inclination and the mindset of the new students with his experience and expertise by one-to-one interactive sessions.
For this program all new MBA and BBA students, along with their parents, have attended and participated during the interactive sessions. The principal of the college, Dr. MK Ganesh; the admission convener, Dr. D. Maheswara Reddy; and the faculty, Dr. Niraj Gohil, Ms. Vijayalakshmi, Dr. Kiranmayi, Dr. N. Yadagiri, and all staff of NITHM actively participated in the orientation program.
